A former model has accused the Republican presidential candidate for the 2024 US elections, Donald Trump, of groping her in 1993. Stacey Williams, who worked as a professional model in the ’90s, said that she met Trump through convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and that the incident took place at New York’s Trump Tower. Williams characterised the traumatic encounter as a “twisted game” between Trump and Epstein, who killed himself in prison in 2019.
William, who is 56 and a native of Pennsylvania, revealed details about the encounter on a call organised by a group called Survivors for Kamala, which has been backing Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris in the 2024 elections, which will be held on November 5.
Donald Trump’s campaign has rejected the allegations, calling them “unequivocally false” and suggesting they were fabricated by his rival Democratic nominee Kamala Harris’s campaign.
According to a report by The Guardian, Williams said she met Trump in 1992 at a Christmas party after being introduced to him by Epstein, whom she had briefly dated.
A few months later, according to William, Epstein suggested that they visit Trump at Trump Towers in New York. Williams said Trump greeted her warmly, but she soon became uncomfortable when he started groping her.
“He put his hands all over my breasts, my waist, and my buttocks,” Williams was quoted as saying by The Guardian. “I froze because I was deeply confused.”
Williams went on to recount that after leaving Trump Tower, Epstein “berated her”, asking why she had “let” Trump touch her.
“I felt shame and disgust. He made me feel so disgusting, and I remember being so utterly confused”, William reportedly said on the call.
Soon after, she said, she parted ways with Epstein, adding that she was unaware of Epstein’s pattern of sexual abuse.
This is not the first time former President Trump has faced allegations of sexual misconduct. Over two dozen women have previously accused him of similar behaviour, including kissing without consent, reaching under their skirt, and also, in the case of some beauty pageant contestants, walking in their changing rooms, according to The Guardian.
